The finished Art Studio in all its glory.
I am so pleased with the way the Larch cladding works. The herringbone carpentry is a real nod to my textile design background. It’s golden hue wraps a section of the studio and frames the pillar box window, beautifully contrasting the charcoal stained cladding.
The interior has a wonderful feel as an empty wooden space, ready for the clients to stamp their mark on it.
We loved having Marcus to build our bespoke studio. It has really helped us to engage with our garden and now we look forward to the many days and evenings that we can spend, creating and relaxing.
The EPDM rubber roofing system has created clean lines and a simple finish to the small fascia. The guttering runs into a salvaged water butt and is easily accessed resting on the new retaining wall at the side of the studio. The French doors were salvaged and re-sprayed grey by SB Modelmakers Ltd.
Thank you to Martin the Woodworker, Gareth the Builder & Paul the Electrician for all their hard work and enthusiasm.
