Larch cabin

The way the light and shadows flit across the Larch cladding. The cladding was a tree one day before it was cut at Elston Sawmill and the following day we were fitting it. Beautiful. Once the landscaping around the cabin has matured it will soften and sit more quietly at the bottom of the garden.  We chose the final finish to be the OSB timber sheeting, which seemed much more in keeping with the cabin and feel of the space. The windows and doors were either off ebay or bought through gumtree.  The client also wanted a wood burning stove fitted after and now the space it really cosy in the winter and cool in the summer thanks to the green roof and insulation.
