Fantastical Models for Zephyr’s

Models to inspire potential for new building(s), to support the new charity Zephyr’s at Nottingham City Hospital.

My friends Martin & Carly have been fundraising towards creating a new centre at Nottingham City Hospital, to support bereaved parents and families after a pregnancy loss, or the death of a baby or child of any age.

After experiencing this loss for themselves they set up Zephyr’s. They have since raised £20000 and opened a temporary centre.  They are now being supported to create a new purpose built centre, and asked me to design and build some fantastical models to allow everyone involved to be as imaginative as possible.

These are just a few of the models that will be used to start the process in engaging the users, Architects and the NHS Trust. The models were carved, burnt and created out of woven cane, oak, rubber, felt and lime.

  1. What magical spaces. The world would be a very different place if we lived and worked in homes like this. Well done…….inspirational!
