Light transforming the black interior of the Floating Garden Shelter.
I designed and built the shelter to give the impression of a floating roof. I included a small aperture at the top of the walls, to allow natural light into the space and to enhance the lines of the herringbone design. I could not be any happier with how the shadows cast extra shapes into the space.
The welcomed surprise of a warm glow on the phenolic plywood ceiling is the reflection off the neighbour’s terracotta tiles.
