Cladding by the River

I have just finished cladding a timber framed Cabin/House/Barn by the River Trent.

We love working with Larch for exterior cladding.  It is so pleasing when you take your time to line up the waney edges. They wrap the building almost perfectly.  We hand hammered approximately 6000 stainless nails, so as not to create rust lines down the front fascia of the cladding in the future.  The stunning colour will fade over time to grey if not treated, but the Larch still has great natural preservative qualities with in it.

My friend Dave at DP Construction designed and built the cabin.
