Designer / Maker / Builder
Sheltered Spaces was formed in 2014 by Marcus Rowlands, to provide a unique artisan approach to architecture, designing and building crafted tactile spaces for clients.
Marcus studied Textile Design at Glasgow School of Art and has worked within Art & Design for over 25 years. This artistic journey has influenced his designs with a genuine passion for materials and a design aesthetic. His approach to design, coupled with exceptional constructional skills, provides the basis for truly bespoke and imaginative spaces.
Marcus guides you through the initial design consultation and then maintains this relationship throughout the entire building process, adding spirit and character to the project. Through influencing the design, you have a direct relationship with the materials and your space, which in turn adds value to the whole experience.
Sheltered Spaces works with a team of craftspeople, intent on working with traditional, innovative and beautiful building materials. We seek to be ambitious with exploring new possibilities and developing building techniques unique to each project.
We take the work we do very seriously and always consider Health & Safety. Sheltered Spaces is up to date with Professional & Public liability Insurances.
